GRAPHIC DESIGN | ILLUSTRATION | VIDEO PRODUCTION

Republica Havas is an award-winning cross-cultural advertising agency that builds meaningful relationships between people and brands across cultures, traditions, and languages. Republica works with clients such as Toyota, Google, Walmart, and Sedanos.

THE ASK

Working with all types of design software, I designed and assisted in creating content for the agency.  I was tasked with editing, designing, and producing a national intern day video for Republica Havas socials and designing merchandise for the agency. I also collaborated with 11 interns to develop activations for a mental health company called Mente. In addition, I assisted in commercial productions for Sedanos and created mockups for companies like AARP and OceanBank.

NATIONAL INTERN DAY VIDEO

For National Intern Day, the interns are tasked to create a special reel for Republica each year. This year, I took the lead in producing, designing the graphics, and editing the video. We decided on a video game theme, where each intern was introduced as a unique character, complete with their own special powers (their department), reflecting the diverse talents within our team.

I drew inspiration from classic 8-bit style games, incorporating iconic elements like the starship from Galaga. We are the NEXT WAVE interns, which tied perfectly into the video game concept, presenting each intern and advancing to the "next wave" in a game.

MERCHANDISE / SWAG DESIGN

I was assigned to create a few designs for a Republica Havas hoodie, or "swag," that will be released agency-wide. These designs are based on "things heard around Republica", which are things employees say in our office. After observing behaviors in the office during my internship, I came up with a few clever designs.

MENTE

Mente is a Hispanic-Latino-based mental health hub. Republica Havas has done pop-up activations for them before, and they came back as a client again this year. The interns had a group project for the entirety of the internship to create activations for Mente. This included a social media calendars, content ideas, mockups, pop-up ideas, and overall ways to bring more engagement and awareness to the brand in all ways.
